Swinfen Telemedicine has set up a new link to a hospital in Omoku, Nigeria.

Model Primary Health Center is a community hospital with 10 beds and 3 members of staff. Offering Antenatal Care, Family Planning, Emergency Transport, Malaria treatment, Measles Immunization, Skilled Birth Attendant and Maternal Health Delivery Services.

55th Telemedical link in Iraq

Swinfen Trust have linked to yet another Iraq Hospital.

Cancer Medial Center is a community hospital with 60 beds, 16 Doctors, 34 Nurses and 23 other staff. Specialist services available on site are Paediatrics, Hematology – Oncology. For those patients that are unable to pay will be seen and treated for free.

This link is already active with cases coming through the Swinfen system. We are doing all we can to help.

Swinfen Telemedicine links to its 76th Country!

A Telemedical link has recently been set up to a hospital in Burkina Faso, West Africa. This will be our 330th Telemedical link in 76 countries!

Paam Laafi is a newly built community hospital currently with a team of 5 Doctors, 5 Nurses and a Dentist. They only have 3 beds at present but are in the process of developing further. Most of the work is currently outpatient which includes mobile clinics to local Schools. The services they provide is Cardiology, Dentistry and Family Planning with Antenatal care coming soon. Their availability to drugs is good and they aim to make care affordable for all. There is a social fund for complex cases and for those that cannot pay.

Nepal

Swinfen Telemedicine welcomes Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara to our system.

This is a teaching hospital with 300 staff and 900 beds offering Specialist services such as Neurosugery, Obs and Gynae, Psychiarty, Opthalmology, Dermatology, Emergency and General medicine, Radiology, Anesthesiology and Orthopedics. Up to date drugs are also available and those that cannot afford to pay will be treated for free.

Malawi

A new Telemedical link has been set up to Nkhoma Hospital in Malawi. This is a general hospital serving a population of 32,000 in that area, with 220 beds, nine Doctors and fifteen medical workers. The services they provide are General medicine, General surgery including prostatectomies, Maternity, Paediatrics including neonatal and nutritional rehabilitation, an eye department, HIV services and an isolation TB ward and cervical Cancer screening. X-ray and Ultrasound machines are available but no CT or MRI. Basic medicines are available.
